The New Jersey housing market remained hot in 2024 with the price of single-family homes rising more than 11%, according to New Jersey Realtors housing market data.
That was well above the annual 4.6% increase in home cost in the United States for 2024.
The median sales price for homes in the state was $560,000, according to the data.
But the median sales price for single-family homes in Central Jersey was more:
- Middlesex County, $575,000, up 11%.
- Somerset County, $750,000, up 13.6%.
- Hunterdon County, $650,000, up 13.7%
- Union County, $625,000, up 11.6%.
